I have created an AI in Design survey. If you are like me you may be overwhelmed and a little anxious about how the design industry changing given the slew of AI tools that can seemingly by-pass a design and development process to produce a solution within a matter of minutes. If your role is changing because of AI, the most important questions to ask would be how and what do you need to do to adapt to this new technological era.

I am currently a design manager at a large ecommerce and even I do not have those answers for my designers. We have already started applying AI in our current workflows and have everyone learning how to use agents. As with your company I’m sure, there is pressure from directors, head of products, CEOs, team leads and engineering heads to find more ways of using AI. However what does this mean for design critical thinking, craft, collaboration and design development workflows for legacy systems.

In an attempt to alleviate the fear and anxiety that is online I decide to create an AI in Design survey that can help us understand how the design landscape has shifted due to Artificial Intelligence tools and where it’s going. I need you help filling in this survey and all results will be shared in the next post after analysis. Please share the link with members of your team whether they are designers or not. It will be great to get a holistic perspective on AI usage throughout your organization’s teams.
